Hi, I am Beatriz, economist and researcher. I am PhD candidate in Economics at Faculty of Economics of the University of Zaragoza.
I have worked in national and international institutions financed by different grants and recognitions. In 2018, I was working at Estado de la Nación in San José, Costa Rica. During my time there, I performed empircal analyses on the effect of the violence on academic achievement. Prior to visiting San José, I was working one year at Spanish Statistical Office in Madrid, 4 months at Instituto Cervantes of Dublin, Ireland, and an amazing year in Padova, Italy, within the framework of Erasmus exchange program.
As a researcher, I am interested in the empirical study of economic growth and development, with special emphasis in the links among growth, human capital, innovation and institutions both developed and developing countries. I also find very stimulating all related with economics of education field. You can read a list about my publications, working papers and work-progress projects here.
