Hi, I am Beatriz, economist and researcher. I am PhD candidate in Economics at Faculty of Economics of the University of Zaragoza, where I also studied the degree in Economics and the Research Master.
Currently, I am working as visiting researcher at Estado de la Nación in San José, Costa Rica, supported by the “Ibero-America Research Programme” of Santander Bank.
I have worked in national and international institutions financed by different grants and recognitions. In 2017, I was working at Spanish Statistical Office in Madrid. Before moving to Madrid, I spent 4 months at Instituto Cervantes of Dublin, Ireland, and an amazing year in Padova, Italy, within the framework of Erasmus exchange program.
As a researcher, I am interested in the empirical study of economic growth and development, with special emphasis in the links among growth, human capital, innovation and institutions both developed and developing countries. I also find very stimulating all related with economics of education field. You can read a list about my publications, working papers and work-progress projects here.
