Hi, I am Beatriz, economist and researcher. I have a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Zaragoza, where I also earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Economics. Currently, she is a PhD Assistant Lecturer of Applied Economics at University of Leon (Leon, Spain).
I have worked in national and international institutions financed by different grants and recognitions. In 2018, I was working at Estado de la Nación in San José, Costa Rica. During my time there, I performed empircal analyses on the effect of the violence on academic achievement. Prior to visiting San José, I was working one year at Spanish Statistical Office in Madrid, 4 months at Instituto Cervantes of Dublin, Ireland, and an amazing year in Padova, Italy, within the framework of Erasmus exchange program.
As a researcher, I am interested in the empirical study of economic growth and development, with special emphasis in the links among growth, human capital, innovation and institutions both developed and developing countries.
